Abu Dhabi, 7 September 2025: This year’s Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition witnessed remarkable attendance for both the National Academy for Childhood Development and the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center. Both organisations offered engaging, interactive activities and events that attracted wide interest from visitors. Their participation comes as part of joint efforts to strengthen Emirati national identity, preserve heritage, and instil it in new generations through innovative approaches.
Under the theme “The Legacy Lives On”, the National Academy for Childhood Development’s stand presented a series of specialised workshops and programmes catering to various age groups. Among the most notable was a programme aimed at parents, teachers, and specialists, offering workshops focused on parenting skills, positive upbringing, and supporting the mental wellbeing of children and parents. There was also the “Generation 71”, designed especially for children, featuring workshops to reinforce national values and develop life skills and positive behaviours. Enjoyable workshops for boys and girls covered the arts of Emirati hospitality, alongside interactive activities introducing visitors to different types of falcons and falconry tools.
Dr. Meera Alkaabi, Chief of the National Academy for Childhood Development Team, affirmed that the Academy’s participation aims to provide an interactive educational platform that embeds skills, revives values, and strengthens national identity among all community members.
Meanwhile, the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Centre’s platform also drew significant interest from visitors, offering a unique experience that blends heritage with modern technology. By employing artificial intelligence technologies, the platform enabled visitors, especially youth and children, to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the famous Fazza Heritage Championships, such as Al Yola, Saktoun rifle shooting, camel racing, and falconry.
Several participants in these championships, as well as heritage enthusiasts, emphasised that the platform represents a wonderful blend of authenticity and innovation, helping to instil values of pride and belonging and passing on heritage to future generations in a creative and enjoyable manner.
Rashid Harib Al Khassouni, Director of Fazza Championships Management, indicated that the Centre’s participation aims to present heritage in modern ways that engage young people in its preservation and transmission. He confirmed that the platform serves as “a bridge connecting the past with the present, inspiring generations to love the nation’s heritage.”
The participation of both the Academy and the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center has proven their ability to present Emirati heritage in a contemporary format, reaffirming their commitment to embedding national identity in the hearts of future generations.
