Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2014 at ADNEC from 22-24 April to Hinge on Sustainability Criteria

With the UAE winning the bid to host Expo 2020 and investors from around the world eyeing the country once again as a high-returns investment haven, this year’s edition of Cityscape Abu Dhabi is set to return to the capital city with renewed zest.

Held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the eighth edition of the realty event will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 22-24 April even as the emirate of Abu Dhabi implements mandatory long-term economic and environmental sustainability principles as the cornerstone of all its project offerings.

The event is set to feature more than 120 exhibitors including developers and realty-related businesses such as worldwide property investment consultancies, architecture firms, home automation companies and building contractors from countries including Turkey, Oman, Kuwait, India, Russia, UK, USA and Egypt.

The three-day exhibition-cum-conference Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2014 is anticipated to draw the full spectrum of real estate professionals, including developers, engineers, industry experts and advisors, architects and service providers to network with investors and regional authorities and discuss new business proposals and critical market issues.

Regional officials expected to be present at the event will include investment promotion agencies, urban planning and economic development authorities, city promotion authorities, regional development and investment zones. The event is set to draw 68% private and 32% institutional investors such as banks, financial investment companies, fund management companies, insurance companies, asset managers, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds.

The event covers projects and investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, as well as property investment hotspots around the world. Tamouh, Farglory, Baniyas, Ejadah, Mubadala, Aldar, Wahat Al Zaweya, Manazel, Arabtec and Flash Properties, the most prominent builders in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, are set to spotlight their projects at the event.

Organised by Informa Exhibitions, the event will be open from 10:00am - 7:00pm on all three days. Snapshots of the Abu Dhabi realty market, with latest updates on projects in the emirate will be featured post-lunch on the opening day.

Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the iconic venue in the UAE capital city and the largest in the Gulf region, offers a combined indoor and outdoor space of 133,000 sq m, to be adapted to client needs. In 2013, the venue attracted 1.53 million people across 328 events across various business sectors, which was a 9% increase on the 2012 figures.
