The iconic Capital Gate tower in Abu Dhabi, owned by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), has scooped a prestigious win at the Africa & Arabia Property Awards 2015. The landmark building was declared winner in the Commercial High-rise Development category at a glittering ceremony held at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai recently.

Recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the farthest leaning manmade building in the world, the Capital Gate project was honoured with the five star award for its innovative architecture and sustainable and eco-friendly design. At an incline of 18 degrees, Capital Gate leans four times more than the celebrated Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and embodies the level of development and progress achieved by the UAE capital.

Open to residential and commercial properties and professionals from around the world, the Africa & Arabia Property Awards acknowledge the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.

The 21^st edition of the Africa & Arabia Property Awards is part of the International Property Awards – the world’s largest, most prestigious, and widely recognised programme. The awards received hundreds of entries from 25 countries from across the regions of Africa and Arabia.

Judging was carried out through a meticulous process involving a panel of over 70 experts covering every aspect of the property business. The evaluation process focused on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability.

 Since its inception, ADNEC has won 74 awards and recognitions across diverse industry sectors due to its efforts to achieve excellence in the events industry.
