ADNEC opens its doors for ADIPEC 2008

Publication Date: 27 Sep 2008

ADIPEC 2008, one of the largest exhibitions ever staged in Abu Dhabi, will be the first exhibition to completely fill all space at ADNEC and is set to welcome over 40,000 visitors from 55 countries to the UAE's capital. Boasting over 1,300 exhibitors from international industry-leading energy organisations, over 200 international speakers and nearly 2,500 delegates, the exhibition is more than 100 per cent bigger than last year and will take over the whole of the new ADNEC for the first time.

The exhibition centre officially opened in February 2007 and is now a hub for regional events, exhibitions and conferences with over 1.5 million visitors expected each year. Phase 2 of ADNEC is nearing completion, when complete it will  offer 55,000sqm of prime indoor exhibition space, 18,000sqm concourse with ample outdoor exhibiting space, dedicated conference areas, more than 20 meeting rooms, food courts, banquet facilities, and car parking for more than 6,000 vehicles.

Energy giants such as Shell, BP, Expro, ExxonMobil and Gasco are just some of the names that will be in attendance at the ADIPEC conference, which will focus on sustainable growth and technology deployment, with specialist speakers from such companies making key note speeches on a variety of topics over the week.

Due to the scale of ADIPEC 2008 and the attraction of GCC and international visitors, Abu Dhabi's hotels have only limited room numbers still available in the city. With the glittering lights of Dubai only a one hour drive away, ADIPEC will be providing daily buses to and from Dubai in order to ensure that no one misses out on this extraordinary event and the opportunity to fully experience the complete ADNEC first hand.
