Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has hosted a number of cultural and heritage activities and events as part of its National Day celebrations.

A heritage village served as a key component of the celebrations. Aiming to raise awareness about the rich culture and heritage of the UAE, the heritage village featured four dedicated corners each showcasing a unique aspect of the country’s heritage

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Acting Group CEO Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), said: "The UAE has set a unique development model that maintains a fine balance between its rich cultural heritage and sustainable development priorities. This was made possible due to the hard work and persistence of its citizens as well as the relentless support of the country’s wise leadership."

In organizing this event, ADNEC seeks to celebrate these achievements and highlight the status of our beloved nation on regional and international levels, while supporting the country’s transformation into a knowledge-based economy,” Al Dhaheri added.

During the event, ADNEC employees participated in various group activities that highlighted the culture and heritage of the UAE. Furthermore, the event ran national service videos on a loop and hosted a national service awarding ceremony.

ADNEC offers 133,000 sq m of inter-connected floor space to match the expectations of a wide variety of events and exhibitions. Equipped with modern facilities and built to international standards, the venue attracted 1.6 million people across 327 events in 2014.
