Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company Promotes Capital’s MICE Infrastructure at Leading Global Industry Events

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) lately participated in several highly-targeted international events to promote Abu Dhabi’s state-of-the-art meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) infrastructure and attract international associations and organizers to host their events in the UAE capital.

ADNEC participated in 84th UFI Global Congress held in Johannesburg, South Africa from 1 to 4 November, 2017. The event convened over 400 event professionals including CEOs, young leaders, and international experts from more than 50 countries to examine how businesses can thrive in today’s fast-changing exhibition industry environment.

From 12 to 15 November, senior officials from ADNEC participated in the 56th Congress of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The event convened 1,200 MICE experts from 79 countries and enabled the exchange of the latest industry trends and know-how.

ADNEC also participated in the 30th anniversary edition of IBTM World that ran from 28 to 30 November, in Barcelona, Spain and included over 100 networking events and ‘knowledge sessions’ across three days.

On the sidelines of these events, ADNEC’s officials engaged in a series of productive meetings and networking sessions with participating officials and event professionals from across the meetings, incentives, conferences, events and business travel industries. They also highlighted Abu Dhabi’s unique advantages as a destination of choice for hosting international events such as its state-of-the-art venues, cutting-edge facilities and connectivity with key international markets, among others.

Furthermore, ADNEC participated in the Interservice/ Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) to promote the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX 2018) and the Simulation and Training Exhibition and Conference (SIMTEX 2018), generating significant interest from key decision makers and delegates representing major defence exhibitors and specialised companies across the world.

As part of its growth strategy for the congresses and meetings sector, ADNEC participates in key international MICE events that enable the organisation to foster collaboration with existing partners, build new alliances and expand and diversify its growing portfolio of conferences and specialised events.

ADNEC’s flagship venue, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, offers 133,000 square metres of interconnected floor space to meet the requirements of a wide variety of events and exhibitions. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and built to international standards, the venue attracted 1.5 million people across 480 events in 2016.
